COLLECTION Books, paperbacks, audio cassettes, CDs and puppets are checked out for two weeks. A library card is necessary to check materials out. Materials may be renewed if there is no reserve on them. To renew, the material and the library card must be presented. The Library has a collection of over 1,900 books in large print. General fiction, mysteries, westerns, and some non-fiction titles are included. Videocassettes and DVDs are checked out for three days. There is a limit of three videocassettes and three DVDs per household. The Library has a growing collection of books on cassette, CD, and MP3. Both abridged and unabridged titles are available. The Library subscribes to over 70 periodical titles. Back issues of periodicals are available for most titles. Periodicals may not be checked out.
Leased Book Collection This collection supports the development of the Library's popular reading collection for adults. High demand (i.e. best sellers) are sent to the Library as soon as they are published. In addition, leasing allows the Library to provide multiple copies of high demand titles. Books that are not popular are returned and replaced with new titles.
